We are growing a vibrant team of volunteers to help us organise and run the community Christmas events in Wickford. From joining the committee to plan and organise the events or just helping out at an event, we need your help to make these community events possible.

How Can you help?

Join our Committee and help to plan, organise the Christmas event and fundraise £5,000 to pay for the Christmas Lights each year and a further £10,000 to run the Christmas Street Fair and buy new lights each year.

Event Volunteers are greatly needed to help run the events safely, and jobs range from marshals, fundraisers, children’s craft assistants, stage & general assistants and DBS checked people on the update service.

There are plenty of different time commitments, so there will always be something that will benefit you and support our Wickford community.

We need your help on...

Sunday 25th November 2018 for our next Christmas Street Fair, which is held in Wickford High Street. The Street Fair will be held from 12pm to 5pm, but volunteers will be required for different shifts anytime between 7am – 7pm. (Times are agreed with volunteers so it works for both parties)

We need 60+ Volunteers to help us on the day and there are plenty of roles to suit everyones skills. Just some of the roles include Marshals, fundraisers, children’s craft assistants, stage & general assistants, but there are plenty more!

If you can help us or have any questions, please contact us and we will be happy answer your question.

How can we help you?

Wickford at Christmas will provide you with all the training and information you require to complete the roles you decide to help us with.

We also encourage you to meet other Wickford at Christmas volunteers at one of our friendly coffee and chat sessions. Where there's plenty of time to meet your team leader and members for a chat about your role and everything else, while enjoying a good old cuppa or coffee.
